Acne Can Be Taken Care Of With Skin Care Products
Acne affects people of all ages, race, and gender. If you have ever laid eyes on a television program, than you have come across an acne commercial. There are even commercials that promise you will be acne free in 3 days. A number of things cause acne. Fluctuations in hormone levels, oil based makeup, steroid use, certain medications, poor diet (though there is no consensus on this fact and no clinical proof either way) and stress, are all common causes. Most teenagers will be affected by acne at some time and so will many adults.
Acne sufferers need a treatment plan to overcome their issues. It should include the use of medication and washing your face. Something as small as home remedies for blackheads can prove to be effective as well. A doctor should be called if the individual thinks that run of the mill medicine isn’t working.
If one’s doctor is capable, they will be able to fix your acne. The medication may be either oral or topical.
Using medicine to alleviate a problem requires a strict adherence and must be approved by your doctor. It is crucial to stick to a skin care plan once you start. If a person stops, starts and are not consistent, then they won’t get the results that are looking for and they may continue to struggle with acne.
Washing your face before bed and when you wake up, is also extremely important. Exfoliation is a great way to help lose the dead skin cells on your body. Using a toner may help the problem too. Common medicine used includes Accutane, Differen, and Retin-A.
There are a host of others. It is also important that one speaks to their doctor about any other conditions that they might have, whether these be mental or physical, because some of the acne fighting medications on the market can cause serious side effects such as thoughts of suicide in teenagers. Therefore, it is crucial you talk about your history with a doctor.
Dealing with acne can be troublesome. It can hurt one’s social life and their self-esteem. Before you get into other things, try and see if OTC medicine works for you. If they are not, a person may want to speak with a dermatologist to come up with a skin care regiment that helps them to reduce or even get rid of their acne.
