Although there are many strategies that are available for those who have milder scarring from acne, there arenot as many options for those who have the deep, pitted scars called ice-pick scars. This strategy can be successful if the sides of the pitted scar are flat so the finished look will be as smooth as possible.

Another kind of method thatis used in the place of the acne scar removal treatment is that of fillers. In this technique, the scars are filled in by trying a filling agent that is made of silicone or other material. In this fashion, the skin is raised up to the level of the other skin and the scar is not terribly obvious any longer. In all of these methods the person will need to take time off work to heal. The last method will cause the least time to recover but the others will usually require a week to cure. So as you can see there are several ways to tackle the problem of acne scarring, some ways will work really well for you while there may be others, though they may work really well for others, will not.
