Acne And Baking Soda

Most people are doubtful when it comes to baking soda as an acne treatment. Well then this article would most likely make up your mind for you. Yes, you can treat pimples with the help of baking soda. And this is basically from personal experience. Here are some baking soda options as home acne remedies.

Face mask

Baking soda acne treatment is actually very effective. You can simply combine the powder with water to create a paste. This is placed on the skin for the next fifteen minutes. This makes the skin look fresh and cleans off dirt. This should be done before going to bed, about four times each week. However, much like other home acne remedies, you have to make sure that your face is clean first. Don’t rub towel on your skin. Instead, you should gently dab on your skin until it is completely dry.

Spot treatments

Now this method of baking soda acne treatment is pretty much the same with the first one. Basically, what you do here is apply the paste directly on the pimple. This can be left overnight and removed with warm water in the morning. You’ll find that baking soda has the capacity to dry out the skin of the pimple to remove trapped oils. Again, a clean towel is necessary to pat dry.

Scars and baking soda

When it comes to scars, baking soda can also be useful. Although I have not seen this result in my case, some people do swear by this method.

Testing first

People who have sensitive skin are not advised to use this acne treatment method. To test, try placing baking soda paste on the inside of your wrist. Allow it to remain there for some time before removal. If your skin itches, then just look for another acne treatment method.

If you’re allergic, then there are some other acne treatments you can try. You can try checking out pumpkin, garlic or even toothpaste. You can use either garlic or pumpkin as face masks. They are also capable of scar removal. Toothpaste is usually placed on the pimple directly.

Keep in mind that these may take time to work. However, if you stay on the routine, then you’ll find out if they really work for you. Aside from these treatments, don’t forget to eat right and exercise daily. This will help keep your skin healthy from the inside out. Wash your face as often as possible.
